West New York Deserves a Town That Works
Adil for Commissioner - Bold Progressive, Passionate Advocate & Thoughtful Team-Builder
I am a proud and devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, homeowner in West New York, leader of my community association, and a New Jersey attorney. In the early 1980s, my parents immigrated to the U.S. from India. I am their only child with the privilege of being born in the United States (Secaucus!).
In 2014, my wife and I bought a home near Miller Park (West Side of West New York) and since then we have grown to love this town. As taxpayers with many years to go until we pay off our mortgage, we also know that young families like us who are heavily invested in the future of our neighborhood need to be represented in our town government.
As a former union organizer and entrepreneur, I have the mind-set and skill-sets to expand our town government's capacity. I believe in the value of public service work, in prioritizing the well-being of working families in all of our town's programming and outreach, and in providing our local business owners with clarity in rule-making and peace of mind regarding enforcement of ordinances. I worked throughout my years pursuing higher education, during which time I earned a bachelor's degree from Columbia University, a certificate in 'Leading Change' from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and a law degree from Fordham Law.
By prioritizing affordability and innovation, we can create a town that truly taps into our immense potential while maintaining our main-street charm. Our leaders must work well with one another, neighboring towns, the county government, and the State, so that our town hall is truly connected and capable of accessing every single resource available to benefit our residents. This requires us to be diligent, honest, thoughtful, open-minded, resourceful, and creative.
I can help move West New York forward.
May 14, 2019 is our time to deliver more to West New York!
